G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Senior Technician based at our operations in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, reporting to the Branch Project Manager.
\n\tThe successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Senior Technician plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Effective management and administration of the technology contract to ensure sound financial performance<\/p>\n

\tCo-coordinating the Maintenance\/Project process flow and activities that has a direct\/indirect impact on the outcome and success of contract\/project.
\n\tPlan and coordinate daily tasks and subordinates, with close monitoring of standards and hours.<\/p>\n
Client retention and customer service levels<\/p>\n
\tMaintenance of positive customer relationships<\/p>\n
Quality Management\/Ops Process management \u2013 adherence to quality standard<\/p>\n
\tConduct and oversee quality controls and inspections<\/p>\n
Health and Safety<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in the design\/ development\/ review\/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year
\n\tParticipate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
\n\tReport all safety incidents to the relevant people
\n\tDiscuss all safety incidents
\n\tFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting\/committee\/representative\/management
\n\tAttend safety education and refresher programs
\n\tComply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
\n\tDistribute safety information as and when required<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric Equivalent
\n\tValid Driver\u00b4s Licence
\n\tFormal Technical Training advantageous
\n\t3 -5 years Electronic Security Services \/Maintenance experience<\/p>\n
Extensive experience with regards to implementation of the following systems:<\/p>\n
\tCCTV
\n\tAccess Control Focussed
\n\tIntruder Detection<\/p>\n
Software Knowledge Level<\/p>\n
\tBroad knowledge of Time and Attendance.
\n\tBroad knowledge of Access Control.
\n\tBasic knowledge of CCTV
\n\tStrong knowledge base on communication protocols i.e. TCP\/IP.
\n\tStrong Computer literacy and proficiency.<\/p>\n
Hardware Knowledge Level<\/p>\n
\tBroad knowledge of Time and Attendance Hardware
\n\tBroad knowledge of Access Control Hardware.
\n\tBasic knowledge of CCTV
\n\tBasic knowledge of Alarms
\n\tBasic knowledge of Electric Fencing
\n\tBroad knowledge of Gate Motors
\n\tBasic knowledge of Intercoms
