\tAn exciting opportunity has become available at Dunns within the Operations department, for a Area Sales Manager. \u00a0
\n\tThe Area Sales Manager is responsible for the effective execution of superior customer service by achieving optimum turnover results and customer service through merchandise presentation, staff motivation and development that is customer focused.\u00a0
\n\tThe successful applicant will also need to have a successful track record in Regional\/Area Manager experience and enable Dunns to maintain and grow the portfolio in accordance with company strategies.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric\u00a0
\n\tTertiary qualification will be an advantage<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skills and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\t3 Years\u2019 experience in Multi-store Operations\u00a0
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license with extensive travel
\n\tCustomer service orientation
\n\tStrong leadership and managerial skills \/ Ability to develop subordinates
\n\tAbility to plan, organize and control effectively
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\tWorking knowledge of budget control \/ Ability to analyze business reports
\n\tAttention to detail
\n\tAbility to communicate with people on all levels
\n\tNegotiation Skills
\n\tTolerance for stress
\n\tSelf-Management
\n\tPlanning ability
\n\tHigh level of integrity \/ Initiative<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAchievement of sales and profit budgets by the effective ongoing management of resources
\n\tProtection of all assets (stock, cash, physical assets, staff and customers) through effective implementation of company policies and procedures
\n\tEvaluate performance in the achievement of budgets and take action where necessary
\n\tPro-actively influence stockholding and monitor rates of sales within region to ensure correct merchandise mix
\n\tEnsure store layouts within region are in line with company standards
\n\tCustomer service
\n\tEnsure merchandise opportunities are maximized through management of inventory
\n\tEnsure correct company administration procedures in respect of stock, mark-downs, lay bys
\n\tEnsure effective merchandise replenishment
\n\tKnowledge of competitive business
\n\tPeople management
\n\tPeople administration
\n\tPerformance Management
\n\tRecruit, develop, guide staff to ensure customer friendly and efficient environment
