\tWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic\u00a0Warehouse Manager\u00a0to join our team based in\u00a0Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy across all processes.
\n\tMaintain full physical inventory control of finished goods.
\n\tConduct daily and monthly cycle counts, reconcile in SAP, analyze variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
\n\tManage stock control, including daily\/weekly counts of high-risk items using warehouse management systems (WMS or ERP).
\n\tInvestigate and resolve incidents such as stock loss, damage, and non-conformances.
\n\tSupervise picking and loading activities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
\n\tOversee end-to-end receiving operations, including goods verification, quality inspection, and real-time SAP updates to ensure accuracy and traceability across the inventory lifecycle.
\n\tOptimize warehouse space utilization and layout reconfiguration to support operational growth, reduce product handling time, and improve efficiency in picking and loading processes.
\n\tCoordinate dispatch to ensure timely and accurate delivery schedules.
\n\tLead and manage warehouse and distribution staff, focusing on productivity and discipline.
\n\tAnalyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare management reports.
\n\tTrain, motivate, and develop warehouse staff, ensuring workflows and productivity targets are achieved.
\n\tEnsure distribution functions meet customer service standards.
\n\tMonitor truck availability for timely loading and dispatch.
\n\tValidate staffing levels against contractual requirements.
\n\tDevelop and enforce standard operating procedures for all warehouse activities.
\n\tControl and reduce operational costs within the distribution center.
\n\tMaintain high standards of housekeeping at all times.
\n\tEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements & Experience<\/p>\n
\tMatric and a Diploma\/Degree in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Management.
\n\tHonours in Supply Chain Management will be advantageous.
\n\t4\u20136 years of experience in warehouse management.
\n\tProven experience in people management and dealing with unions.
\n\tAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
\n\tExcellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.<\/p>\n
Required Skills<\/p>\n
\tProficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
\n\tStrong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, transport, and logistics.
\n\tCommitment to safety and quality standards<\/p>\n
