\tTo manage credit assessment within a specialised lending area \/ cluster (Debtor Management and Rental Discounting) in order to ensure the acquisition of quality assets; enhancement of revenues and maintenance thereof within laid down policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tValidate client and supporting information by assessing the contents of the documents.
\n\tAnalyse credit applications by assessing serviceability of the funding applied for.
\n\tApprove funding by making decision based on the credit policy guideline in conjunction with relevant Nedbank strategy and the analysis based on the information provided.
\n\tSuggest alternative funding solutions by making recommendations based on the credit policy guideline and the analysis based on the information provided where declined.
\n\tBuild and maintain effective working relationships by providing a range of specialized credit risk management advisory services.
\n\tManage client expectations by operating within the specified parameters and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
\n\tEnhance processes, policies and procedures by recommending and making submissions to the relevant parties.
\n\tAdapt to changes in Legislation by providing input to redesigning credit processes and systems where applicable.
\n\tEnsure processes are actioned within mandated signatories by checking and confirming the sign off.
\n\tManage daily activities of direct reports by monitoring the staff output.
\n\tManage performance and build the intellectual capital of the team by conducting on the job training, counselling and coaching.
\n\tSupport the achievement of the \u00a0business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.
\n\tIdentify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.
\n\tEnsure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
\n\tShare knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
\n\tObtain buy-in for developing new and\/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders’ businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
\n\tContribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
\n\tParticipate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
\n\tSeek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.<\/p>\n
Minimum Experience Level<\/p>\n
\t3- 5 Years\u2019 Credit Assessment and decisioning experience within Banking environment\u00a0
\n\tMin 3 Years’ Business Banking Credit experience in evaluating current and prospective clients financial Statements and credit reports to determine their ability to honour debt obligations in a Commercial environment\u00a0
\n\tPrevious lending experience specific to Debtor Management and Rental Discounting products would be advantageous.
\n\tExtensive understanding of legalities associated with lending and collateral
\n\tTeam Management \/ Leadership experience would-be advantage
\n\tProven track-record on managing a large book.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 6 or Higher in a Financial or Banking related field essential\u00a0
\n\tCIMA, Credit management degree or equivalent will be advantageous
\n\tOwn reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license a must\u00a0
\n\tMust be prepared to travel.<\/p>\n
