\tSupport the profitability and growth of the credit and insurance portfolios within Mr Price Money by leveraging data, market trends, and cross-functional collaboration. Drive the execution of commercial projects and business solutions, working closely with senior management to deliver on strategic objectives.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
\nStrategy Execution & Business Partnering<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with the Commercial Manager to execute credit and insurance strategies.
\n\tPartner with Marketing, Operations, and BI teams to monitor and optimise performance of both new and existing customer bases.
\n\tSupport the development and execution of omni-channel acquisition and distribution strategies for credit and insurance products.
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to enhance product offerings and distribution efficiency.<\/p>\n
Product Development & Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the design and execution of commercial models and forecasts for new product development.
\n\tMonitor product profitability and customer segment performance, recommending improvements as needed.
\n\tConduct market research and trend analysis to identify revenue growth opportunities.
\n\tPrepare business cases for product enhancements and innovations.<\/p>\n
Commercial Modelling & Business Intelligence<\/p>\n
\tWork with Finance and BI teams to develop and maintain profitability models, forecasts, and reporting tools.
\n\tAnalyse customer data, market trends, and channel performance to provide actionable insights.
\n\tSupport the implementation of spend stimulation and customer engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to FAIS, NCR, and other regulatory requirements.
\n\tSupport quarterly compliance reporting and the implementation of financial and operational controls.
\n\tMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes in the credit and insurance landscape.<\/p>\n
Project Leadership & Technology Support<\/p>\n
\tLead or support projects aimed at improving product and process performance.
\n\tAssist in the migration to scalable technology platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance standards.
\n\tCollaborate with IT and BI teams to automate and enhance reporting mechanisms.<\/p>\n
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tAct as a liaison between various teams (Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT, HR) to ensure cohesive execution of business initiatives.
\n\tSupport the Commercial Manager in stakeholder management and cross-divisional collaboration.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\nEducation:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
\n\tProfessional qualifications (CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, or equivalent) advantageous but not required.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t3+ years\u2019 experience in financial services, with exposure to credit, insurance, or retail finance.
\n\tExperience in product development, distribution optimisation, or business intelligence is advantageous.
\n\tProven ability to analyse data, develop commercial models, and support strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n
Skills & Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tStrong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
\n\tAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with BI tools and financial modeling.
\n\tExcellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tProject management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
\n\tFamiliarity with FAIS, NCR, and other relevant compliance standards.
\n\tEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.<\/p>\n
