Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tThe ability to quickly identify and remediate Intermediate networking problems
\n\tAn understanding of Network Security including industry best practices.
\n\tAbility to perform first line troubleshooting of faults
\n\tMaintaining WAN and LAN diagrams
\n\tMaintaining, and supporting Network Monitoring tools IE: PRTG, ZABBIX, NMSAAS etc
\n\tPerform basic network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
\n\tBasic configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
\n\tWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
\n\tNetwork asset management.
\n\tVendor Management<\/p>\n
Vendor Proficiency<\/p>\n
\tFortinet \u2013 Experience and\/or certification preferred
\n\tCisco \u2013 Certified
\n\tAruba \u2013 Experience and\/or certification preferred
\n\tH3C \u2013 Experience beneficial
\n\tUbiquity \u2013 Experience and\/or certification preferred<\/p>\n
Qualifications \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMatric and N+ is essential
\n\tCCNA \/ CCNP or equivalent certification (Beneficial)
\n\tFortinet Experience and\/or certification preferred
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Diploma (Beneficial)<\/p>\n
Preferred Skills<\/p>\n
\tShould have proven excellence as a Junior Network Engineer or in another relevant support position\u00a0
\n\tExcellent communication, both verbal and written
\n\tAbility to manage Customer requests\/escalations in quick succession
\n\tAbility to form customer relationships
\n\tMust have own car
\n\tBasic understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, SD-WAN, Access Points, routers and routing.
\n\t1-2 years\u2019 experience<\/p>\n
