{"id":24234,"date":"2025-11-19T12:04:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T12:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/nomination-of-members-of-the-municipalitys-disciplinary-board-on-financial-misconduct-01-position\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T00:24:54","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T00:24:54","slug":"nomination-of-members-of-the-municipalitys-disciplinary-board-on-financial-misconduct-01-position","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=24234","title":{"rendered":"Nomination Of Members Of The Municipality\u2019s Disciplinary Board On Financial Misconduct (01 Position)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>\tPostgraduate qualification in Finance or Legal fields (NQF 8) or equivalent<br \/>\n\tSound expertise and experience in fields of financial misconduct with legal expertise specializing in Labour Law or Public Administration\/Governance\/Ethics and Fraud Investigations<br \/>\n\tSound knowledge and understanding of internal controls and Corporate Governance in Local Government<br \/>\n\tExperience in serving as a member of a Disciplinary Board: Financial Misconduct Board in local government environment<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding of the Municipal Finance Management Act No. 56 of 2003 and all its applicable Regulations<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding of the Local Government: Municipal Systems<br \/>\n\tAct, No. 32 of 2000 and all its applicable Regulations<br \/>\n\tA member in good standing and affiliated with a recognized professional body.<br \/>\n\tIn terms of Regulation 4(5), the following persons are disqualified as members:<br \/>\n\tA person who has been convicted of an offence in terms of these regulations or any other legislation<br \/>\n\tA person who, whether in the Republic or elsewhere has been convicted of theft, fraud, forgery, the uttering of the forged document or any offence of which dishonesty is an element<br \/>\n\tA person who has at any time been removed from any office of trust on account of misconduct or dishonesty<br \/>\n\tAn Accounting Officer of a Municipality or Municipal Entity<br \/>\n\tA political office-bearer or member of a board of directors<br \/>\n\tA person who is an office-bearer in a political party<br \/>\n\tMust not be serving as a member of more than three (3) Financial Misconduct Boards<br \/>\n\tMust not be in the employment of the King Cetshwayo District Municipality.<\/p>\n<p>KEY FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>\tInvestigate and advise the Municipal Council, political office-bearers, the Accounting Officer, Management and staff of the Municipality on matters relating to Financial Misconduct and to: Provide recommendations for steps to be taken regarding disciplinary proceedings or any other relevant steps to be taken.<br \/>\n\tMonitor institution of disciplinary proceedings against transgressor(s)<br \/>\n\tSubmit reports of the outcome of the investigation to the Mayor or the Accounting Officer as may be appropriate for each case<br \/>\n\tLiaise with the Speaker on the reports submitted to the Mayor or the Accounting Officer<br \/>\n\tSubmit final reports of the investigation to the KZN Provincial Treasury<br \/>\n\tEngage the KZN Provincial Treasury and\/or the National<br \/>\n\tTreasury on instances where a Council has not acted on recommendations without<br \/>\n\tsubmission of the reasons to the disciplinary board<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"King Cetshwayo District Municipality","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"King Cetshwayo is a district that is led by the core values of transparency, integrity, commitment and cooperation.
