\n\tWe are on the lookout for an experienced\u00a0Senior Engineer: Utilities\u00a0to manage the operations and maintenance of the Utilities and Services Department.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
As a Senior Engineer: Utilities you will be responsible for:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManaging the Water\/Effluent Treatment and Boilers operations, system and maintenance, railway operations, civil maintenance, scaffolding and workshop services
\n\tActively driving\u00a0the use of plant reliability monitoring techniques to ensure proactive maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime
\n\tCost effective and reliable supply of Utilities – water, compressed air and steam availability for production, meeting demands for the mill
\n\tLeading and managing\u00a0the maintenance and production teams
\n\tSafety, health, environmental and quality issues, including incident investigations
\n\tShort term planning as well as annual shut planning
\n\tCost Control and Budget management\u00a0
\n\tLegal compliance to environmental standards, regulations and statutory requirements
\n\tRoot cause failure analysis and close outs<\/p>\n
What are we looking for?<\/p>\n
\tBSc\/BEng\/BTech in Mechanical Engineering\u00a0
\n\tGovernment Certificate of Competency (Factories)\u00a0
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a heavy industry\/manufacturing environment
\n\tExperience in the operation of boilers and utilities is preferred
\n\tStrong Leadership experience
\n\tExcellent planning,\u00a0organising and technical problem-solving skills
\n\tAbility to make smart decisions
\n\tExperience in the Pulp & Paper industry would be an advantage
\n\tMust be able to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment<\/p>\n
