PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tThe purpose of this position is to assist members (clients) with legal advice and paralegal solutions to common problems within the parameters set by the Company and the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Consulting with Members<\/p>\n
\tAttending to clients and providing legal advice and assistance via telephone consultation<\/p>\n
Customer Relation Service<\/p>\n
\tEngaging customers with complex matters<\/p>\n
Time Management<\/p>\n
\tAttending to queries within a reasonable time frame<\/p>\n
Liaison with Attorneys\/Claims Dept.<\/p>\n
\tAttend to appoint attorneys to represent clients on legal matters<\/p>\n
Providing Feedback to Clients<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback on existing matters<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS<\/p>\n
\tEducation Must have Matric (Grade 12); and Must have completed legal degree (LLB or B Proc, B Juris, BLC or B Com\/BA Law)<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tAt least two (2) years\u2019 legal experience. Practice experience advantageous.
\n\tCustomer service experience (must).
\n\tExperience in handling Labour and Court Process matters (must).<\/p>\n
Other<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Consumer Protection Act.
\n\tMust be computer literate; specifically proficient in MS Word and Outlook. \u00a0
\n\tMust be proficient in at least 3 Official Languages including IsiZulu and IsiXhosa.<\/p>\n
General working conditions<\/p>\n
\tRegular office environment and no health and safety risks involved.
\n\tNo travel involved. \u00a0<\/p>\n
