Role<\/p>\n
\tThe main purpose of this role is to Manage and monitor the financial and fiscal activities of the Cluster and supervise the Internal Control.<\/p>\n
Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tLead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
\n\tReview income tax, deferred tax, and VAT calculations.
\n\tPerform IFRS-specific validations (IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16).
\n\tEnsure adherence to approved company financial policies and procedures.
\n\tMonitor and implement procedures to achieve finance KPIs.
\n\tOversee internal controls and risk management processes.
\n\tManage and coordinate internal and external audits.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support annual budgeting and planning processes within agreed timelines.
\n\tProvide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
\n\tLiaise with local and branch tax authorities.
\n\tOversee statutory obligations and respond to tax queries.
\n\tOversee debtors\u2019 function to ensure KPIs are met.
\n\tReview and monitor customer ageing in line with group processes.
\n\tLead resolution of disputed key customer accounts and conduct meetings with key accounts.
\n\tSupport annual credit account review process.
\n\tOversee and manage Treasury Accountant, including cash flow forecasting and monthly cash repatriation.
\n\tWorking with AP manager to assist with Prepayment\u2019s and RFI clearance
\n\tOversee and manage the functions of the GL Accountant
\n\tReview monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly with GBS
\n\tPerform payroll reconciliations and journals.
\n\tCoordinate with GBS and Ficom Finance teams, addressing queries and monitoring processes.
\n\tIdentify and drive systems and process enhancements.
\n\tPartner with key business departments to support operational and strategic goals.<\/p>\n
Skills and Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMinimum: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting (3rd year major in Accounting)
\n\tMinimum 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including management of Treasury, AP, and GL functions.
\n\tStrong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
\n\tProven experience in financial planning, analysis, and audit management.
\n\tAdvanced proficiency in financial systems and MS Excel.
\n\tExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.<\/p>\n
