Reporting directly to the Executive: Human Capital Experience, you will contribute to the full employee lifecycle &#8211; ensuring learning is woven into recruitment, onboarding, development, engagement, performance, retention, and succession. Your work will be deeply integrated across HCX, with a strong focus on building future-ready capability and aligning learning to organisational culture, strategy, and the future world of work.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT YOU WILL DO (CORE RESPONSIBILITIES)<\/p>\n<p>Lead the Group L&amp;D Strategy<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild and execute a multi-year L&amp;D strategy aligned to VKB\u2019s strategy, HCX roadmap, and future skills needs.<br \/>\n\tTranslate business priorities into capability roadmaps for leadership, technical roles, frontline employees, and critical\/scarce skills.<br \/>\n\tPosition L&amp;D as an engine of performance, transformation, and future-readiness.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Build a Future-Ready Workforce<\/p>\n<p>\tLead future skills mapping, capability frameworks, and workforce upskilling\/reskilling initiatives.<br \/>\n\tDevelop learning pathways for digital skills, AI literacy, automation readiness, and emerging agricultural technologies.<br \/>\n\tModernise VKB\u2019s learning ecosystem into a digital, blended, AI-enabled learning environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elevate Leadership, Talent &amp; Succession Development<\/p>\n<p>\tDesign and deliver leadership development frameworks, from emerging leaders to senior executives.<br \/>\n\tOwn Group-wide succession planning, readiness assessment, top talent acceleration, and leadership pipelines.<br \/>\n\tPartner with OD, TA, and HCX to align development to the VKB \u201cWinning Habits\u201d and performance culture.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strengthen Learning Infrastructure &amp; Systems<\/p>\n<p>\tImplement or optimise LMS\/LXP platforms and create a unified VKB Digital Learning Academy.<br \/>\n\tIntroduce innovative learning modalities: gamification, microlearning, digital academies, experiential learning, scenario-based learning, and coaching\/mentoring programmes.<br \/>\n\tAdvance adoption of AI-driven learning tools, personalised learning journeys, and data-driven learning analytics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Build a High-Performing Learning Organisation<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, mentor, and elevate a high-performing L&amp;D team that models VKB\u2019s values.<br \/>\n\tEstablish strong internal learning governance and consistent Group-wide standards.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and enforce best-practice instructional design methodologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Promote a Culture of Learning, Inclusion &amp; Growth<\/p>\n<p>\tDrive Group-wide learning culture initiatives, including learning campaigns, capability sprints, learning weeks, and knowledge-sharing forums.<br \/>\n\tEnsure learning experiences are inclusive across cultures, languages, educational levels, and generations.<br \/>\n\tIntegrate learning into employee experience, from onboarding to career pathways.<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrate Operational Excellence &amp; Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure SETA compliance, coordinate WSP\/ATR submissions, and manage external learning partners.<br \/>\n\tOptimise spend for maximum Skills Development points across all VKB affiliates.<br \/>\n\tChampion ROI measurement through learning analytics, performance metrics, and business impact studies.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Partner to Executives &amp; Leaders<\/p>\n<p>\tAct as a thought partner to business leaders, and HCX colleagues.<br \/>\n\tInfluence strategic decisions through insights, benchmarking, innovation, and global best practice.<br \/>\n\tRepresent L&amp;D at Group-level business reviews, Board Committees, and ESG forums.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR<\/p>\n<p>A values-driven strategic leader who offers:<\/p>\n<p>\tProven experience in shaping Group-wide L&amp;D strategies and capability agendas.<br \/>\n\tDeep knowledge of future skills, digital learning technologies, AI-enabled learning, and modern instructional design.<br \/>\n\tPassion for developing top talent, strengthening leadership pipelines, and enabling succession.<br \/>\n\tA collaborative, inclusive, mature and influential leadership style that engages diverse leaders and operational environments.<br \/>\n\tCuriosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate trends into practical L&amp;D solutions.<br \/>\n\tCommitment to inclusive, multi-generational, people-centered learning.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Learning &amp; Development, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or related field.<br \/>\n\tPostgraduate qualification (Honours\/Masters) in HR, Industrial Psychology, Leadership, or Business strongly preferred.<br \/>\n\tProfessional certifications in L&amp;D, Talent, Coaching, Instructional Design, Digital Learning (ATD, CIPD, CPTD) an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>RELEVANT EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\t5\u201310+ years in Learning &amp;
