\tRCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized, fleet focused Mechanic Assistant within the baking business unit.
\n\tThe suitable candidate will be required to carry out maintenance & preventive service in accordance to the maintenance schedule plan and breakdowns and attend to afterhours breakdowns on local delivery fleet.
\n\tThis role will be based in Pietermaritzburg and reporting to the Transport Manager.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nEducation and Qualification:<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tDiesel Mechanic Qualification Advantageous<\/p>\n
Experience and Training:<\/p>\n
\t2-3 years\u2019 experience in a FMCG workshop environment.
\n\tExperience with FAW; Fuso; Hino and Nissan Trucks (Advantageous)<\/p>\n

Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Fleet Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure workshop is clean and maintain housekeeping as per HSEMS requirement.
\n\tDispose waste in designated area as per HSEMS requirement
\n\tFollow lead mechanic instruction.
\n\tAssist lead mechanic when required.
\n\tCarry out duties assigned by mechanic in efficient and safe manner
\n\tMaintain proper handling of all equipment, especially mechanical and electronic gauges in order to avoid failures.
\n\tAchieving the knowledge of Mechanic assistant (Technical and Safety).
\n\tCarry out all work activities in a safe manner.
\n\tFollow all company procedures and controls.
\n\tMaintain good housekeeping at work site and accommodation on daily basis.<\/p>\n
