Technical Support & Clinical Quality Improvement<\/p>\n
\tProvide on-site technical assistance to facility staff on CCMT, HIV, TB, IMCI and PHC programs.
\n\tConduct clinical file audits, root-cause analyses, and quality-of-care assessments at facilities.
\n\tco-create and monitor quality improvement plans with facilities management.
\n\tSupport implementation of evidence-based interventions aimed at improving clinical outcomes of the different DoH Programs
\n\tMentor clinicians and nurses on updated NDoH guidelines, SOPs, algorithms, and protocols.
\n\tFacilitate case discussions, mortality reviews, and program performance reviews.<\/p>\n
Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Use for Action<\/p>\n
\tConduct routine data verification, indicator tracking and performance monitoring using DHIS, TIER.Net, SVS, SyNCH, HPRS, ETR, EDR Web, and facility registers.
\n\tAnalyse program data to identify gaps and trends and develop corrective action plans.
\n\tPromote data use at facility level through dashboards, programme review meetings and on-site coaching.
\n\tSupport facilities to prepare for Nerve Centre, District Reviews, or performance reporting.
\n\tHealth Systems Strengthening & Program Optimization<\/p>\n
\tStrengthen patient flow systems
\n\tFacilitate integration of HIV\/TB\/IMCI\/STI\/Family Planning services within PHC platforms.
\n\tLead the implementation of quality improvement projects on Facility Improvement Plans (FIPs)
\n\tLead the implementation of quality improvement projects on Ideal clinic realisation and maintenance (ICRM\/ICSM)
\n\tCoordinate formative assessments and facilitate gap analysis guided by key programme goals and objectives\u00a0
\n\tProject selection: Identify project options best suited to address identified gaps, needs and problems
\n\tPrepare project plans including FIP, resource requirements and task assignment to staff
\n\tPeriodic project monitoring and coordination.
\n\tParticipation in all review meetings<\/p>\n
Capacity Building & Mentorship<\/p>\n
\tDeliver on-site and classroom-based training aligned to NDoH clinical guidelines and programmatic priorities.
\n\tBuild capacity of facility teams to implement standardised clinical, data, and administrative processes.
\n\tProvide supportive supervision to operational managers and frontline staff.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tBuilding healthy relationship with the facility managers, sub-district DoH Program coordinators, Supervisors, PHC Managers, Partner organisations and district health management team.
\n\tParticipate in District and Sub-District program meetings, technical working groups, and review forums.
\n\tSupport coordination of community-facility collaborative activities including supporting the work of WBPHCOTs, CBOs and other partners
\n\tEnsure to maintain communication flow with the district management on important programmatic issues and in tracking implementation progress<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Nursing or a health-related qualification at a tertiary level.
\n\t3 year\u2019s experience in an NGO or District Department of Health setting<\/p>\n
Desirable Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tPost-graduate qualification in public health or management
\n\t5 year\u2019s experience in implementing Health Programmes
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in clinical program management including HAST programs, Monitoring & Evaluation, report writing and presentations at Sub-District and District levels.<\/p>\n

Our history In 2001, our founder Prof Ian Sanne registered Right to Care as a non-profit (Section 21) organisation in Johannesburg. A year later our first funding was received from the international aid agency USAID. In 2004, we moved into our current offices at Helen Joseph Hospital, Johannesburg, and began providing clinic services funded by the Pepfar, a fund administered by USAID. By this time, Right to Care had matured from a start-up, pioneer-led organisation to a well-established donor-funded NGO. Within a few years, we were providing tens of thousands of patient with ARV and TB treatment in multiple provinces. In 2010, with a growing compliment of 500 staff members, we were appointed principal recipient for the Global Fund (Round 10). Around that time, we began a USAID-led transition from direct service delivery to technical assistance, primarily to the Department of Health. Our partnership with the Department of Health was strengthened and a renewed focus was on supporting their initiatives. Today we have over 1500 staff members and this is growing.
