About the role<\/p>\n
\tWe\u2019re seeking an experienced Unit Manager to head a rehabilitation\/sub-acute unit, managing a team of Professional\/Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, ENAs and support staff. You\u2019ll own day-to-day operations, clinical governance and patient experience, working closely with the Therapy Manager, multidisciplinary team and support services.<\/p>\n
You will:<\/p>\n
\tProvide visible clinical leadership, model best practice within scope of practice and Nurture policies.
\n\tDrive clinical governance: IPC, medication safety, falls\/pressure-injury prevention, documentation, audits and accreditation readiness.
\n\tManage people operations: recruit, roster, delegate, mentor, address performance and build a values-driven culture.
\n\tCoordinate patient journey participate in MDT meetings and family meetings.
\n\tOversee stock & assets (pharmacy and non-pharmacy), budgeting inputs, cost control and variance reduction.
\n\tEnsure OHS compliance: risk identification, incident reporting and closure, drills, equipment checks and safe environment.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\/TRAINING<\/p>\n
\tCurrent SANC registration as Professional\/Registered Nurse
\n\tDiploma\/Degree in Nursing; leadership\/management or rehab\/sub-acute post-basic advantageous
\n\tProven experience leading a nursing team of mixed cadres: RNs, ENs, ENAs, support in a 24\/7 rostered environment
\n\t>5 years\u2019 experience in a rehabilitation environment<\/p>\n
