\tThe ideal team player will be responsible for checking, processing, and correction of transactions on the accounting system of VKB Fuel\u2019s central financial function. This includes regular reporting on financial results.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tRelevant BCom degree with Accountancy.
\n\tCompleted Articles (SAICA or SAIPA).
\n\tRelevant experience in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team.
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills.
\n\tExperience with Caseware and Business Central is advantageous.
\n\tFluent in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).
\n\tOffice based role located in Reitz.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAssist with month end procedures and variance reports.
\n\tPrepare monthly reconciliations.
\n\tMaintain and correct allocations in the general ledger.
\n\tMonitor asset register, including asset acquisition procedures.
\n\tReview and approve EFTs.
\n\tPrepare journals
\n\tEnsure accurate accounting in compliance with IFRS and SARS regulations
\n\tAssist in the calculation and submission of tax obligations via SARS eFiling.
\n\tAssist departments with the budgeting process on Solver and provide analytical support.
\n\tSupport department heads with reporting and decision-making insights.
\n\tContribute to the year-end process, including audit file preparation and liaison with external auditors.
\n\tParticipate in finance-related projects, system upgrades, and provide user feedback.
\n\tIdentify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
\n\tAssist in implementing and maintaining internal financial policies and controls.<\/p>\n
