PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tThe Maintenance Assistance to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment’s, follow maintenance schedules, attend to breakdowns and upheld safety standards.<\/p>\n
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and repair all equipment at the Geochem Laboratories.
\n\tAdhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
\n\tBe compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
\n\tAt all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
\n\t\u200bCarries out routine services on equipments.
\n\tCarries out conveyor belts repairs and or replacements by mechanical splicing, replacement of idler rollers and scrapers.
\n\tCarries out routine services on oil and air filters, suctions system, crushing and other systems in plant.
\n\tCaries out services and repairs on furnaces, crushers, pulverizes and\u00a0 general facility.
\n\tManufactures parts and tools through use of basic hand tools and simple turning.
\n\tPerforms messenger\/driver duties; collects and delivers tools and equipment for the department.
\n\tAssists in Mechanical and Electrical on major jobs\u2019 repair and services as and required.
\n\tCleans and keeps work areas clean.
\n\tBeing able to locate plant problems and resolve effectively to avoid losses and trips.
\n\tBeing available for emergency call outs and weekend
\n\tWorking long hours when required.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12, with mathematics and science<\/p>\n
REQUIRED SKILLS<\/p>\n
\tGood understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
\n\tStrong knowledge of the facilities\u2019 machines and equipment.
\n\tGeneral hand tools and basic equipment use.
\n\tGood problem-solving skills.
\n\tGood communication skills.
\n\tTeam cooperation and commitment
\n\tWriting and reading skills in English
\n\t\u200bProcedural awareness and understanding.
