Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThe Site Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all onsite activities related to Proximity Detection Systems (PDS) and Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS). You will ensure compliance, manage service delivery, lead the technician team, and support the Account Manager with reporting and operational updates.<\/p>\n
Education, experience and competencies<\/p>\n
\tMatric and Qualified Artisan (Red Seal) in Electrical, Automotive Electrical or a related trade
\n\tN6 \/ National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
\n\tMinimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role within the mining industry.
\n\tAt least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
\n\tHands-on experience with mining equipment and collision prevention systems.
\n\tUnderstanding of MHSA, OHSA, Section 21 requirements, and mining site safety regulations. Experience with service level agreements (SLAs), reporting, and risk compliance.
\n\tProficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), report writing and operational systems
\n\tMedically fit for site visits and physically able to conduct inspections.
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication in English.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily on-site operations and ensure effective service delivery.
\n\tLead, support, and mentor a team of technicians.
\n\tEnsure strict adherence to MHSA, OHSA, quality, and Booyco safety standards.
\n\tConduct PTOs, toolbox talks, and compliance checks.
\n\tComplete weekly COC compliance reporting.
\n\tPerform daily and weekly stock management for tools, PPE, and equipment.
\n\tMaintain accurate daily diaries, job cards, and administrative records.
\n\tProvide operational support and updates to the Account Manager.
\n\tIdentify and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime.
\n\tEnsure all technicians meet technical and safety requirements.<\/p>\n
