WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE<\/p>\n
Project Delivery<\/p>\n
\tLead the end-to-end execution of Capital, Transformation and Continuous improvement projects – from initiation and feasibility through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and production handover.
\n\tDevelop and implement Project Execution Plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost targets, and change management.
\n\tCollaborate with cross function teams to clarify briefs, define scope, and incorporate local requirements into Conceptual Engineering (CE), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Engineering (DE) Designs.<\/p>\n
Financial & Resource Management<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and define detailed scope of work, cost estimates, and Capital Expenditure Proposals (CEP\u2019s), ensuring Capex Affordability metrics are achieved.
\n\tManage project budgets, track spending and ensure compliance with authorisation limits, and Capex spend Forecast Accuracy.
\n\tHandle SAP project data, purchase requisitions, goods receipts, and supplier invoice queries.<\/p>\n
Engineering Excellence<\/p>\n
\tApply World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and champion Early Equipment Management (EEM) to ensure hygienic, reliable, and maintainable plant design.
\n\tProvide discipline-specific input (mechanical, civil, electrical, controls & automation) for multi-disciplinary projects.
\n\tLiaise with global and cluster engineering teams to adopt best practices and new technologies.<\/p>\n
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with relevant local legal regulations and standards, and Unilever SHE requirements during project design and execution.
\n\tManages resources and contractors\u2019 safety on site throughout project execution.
\n\tInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.<\/p>\n
Factory Support & Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n
\tSupport production teams by troubleshooting recurring process issues and optimizing plant performance.
\n\tDevelop and train operators on SOPs and modified processes.
\n\tDrive cost-effectiveness programs, waste minimization, and energy efficiency initiatives.
\n\tDesign out recurring engineering problems and implement preventive measures.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tRun project team meetings, ensuring alignment across disciplines and adherence to EEM methodology.
\n\tCommunicate project progress and outcomes to key senior stakeholders.<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED<\/p>\n
Experiences & Qualifications<\/p>\n
Qualification<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline): B. Tech, BSc (Eng), or BEng.
\n\tProject Management certification or formal training (preferred).<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t3-5 years of Project Engineering experience in FMCG or related manufacturing industries.
\n\tProven track record in managing capital projects from concept to commissioning.
\n\tStrong attention to detail and ability to deliver projects to high engineering standards.
\n\tKnowledge of WCM principles and EEM methodology.
\n\tProficiency in MS Office, MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
\n\tManaging hygiene and quality, safety & environment from equipment design standpoint.
\n\tExperience in plant design and project engineering within FMCG or engineering consultancy firms.
\n\tWorking knowledge of international engineering standards.
\n\tFoods manufacturing experience (advantageous).<\/p>\n
