Job Description<\/p>\n
\tTo take full responsibility of the Steelpoort and consignment warehouses. Responsible for stock levels, accuracy, ensure discipline on stock removal in and out of the warehouses. Responsible for overall neatness, housekeeping and condition of stock and capital equipment (including shelving). Take responsibility over planning and issues to production. To oversee stores\/warehouses as well as to ensure the MRP planning for sub-jobs is actioned and Invoicing process are correct, followed and POD\u2019s are always up to date.\u00a0<\/p>\n
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:<\/p>\n
\tThe Stores manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all staff and warehouse(S) activities from adhering to policies and procedures, implementing new policies, ensuring all employees are trained in the policies and procedures as well as new employees.
\n\tImplementing operational policies and procedures.
\n\tImplementing and overseeing security operations.
\n\tEnsuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
\n\tEnsuring the safety of staff.
\n\tMotivating and disciplining staff.
\n\tMaintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
\n\tUsing the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency
\n\tOverseeing basic operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, Picking, Packing, issuing, invoicing, PODS, and maintenance of products
\n\tTake charge of stock control and accuracy as well as warehouse organization
\n\tRegularly oversee the updating of the data storage system
\n\tProduce reports and statistics regularly (IN\/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
\n\tCreate and affix warehouse labels, Bins, identify and assign fixed bin locations, update ERP for Bins on stock codes, update floor plan, keep track of bin locations and floor plan, ensure accuracy there of and ensure QR codes are in use for all
\n\tEnsure stock coming in labelled (QR Codes as well) correctly for storage \u2013 oversee process
\n\tAdhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping regulation requirements.
\n\tPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
\n\tOversea and implement MRP for warehouse stock holding and sub jobs
\n\tReport on MRP
\n\tImproves staff performance by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees.
\n\tControls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, annual counts, cycle counts and reconciles with data storage systems.
\n\tAnother other reasonable request or procedure implemented by management\u00a0<\/p>\n
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENT<\/p>\n
\tExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
\n\tProven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
\n\tHands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
\n\tAbility to manage staff.
\n\tProficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
\n\tValid drivers’ license.
\n\tAbility to operate forklift effectively.
\n\tProficient computer skills.
\n\tOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
\n\tOutstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
\n\tStrong people skills.<\/p>\n
