ABOUT THE ROLE:<\/p>\n
\tThis role is a permanent full-time position.
\n\tAs a Clerk Of Works, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of materials and workmanship are in accordance with engineer\u2019s drawings and specifications and to monitor and control project execution by ensuring adherence to construction regulations and Hillside HSE procedures.<\/p>\n
Other key responsibilities include, but aren\u2019t limited to:<\/p>\n
\tLoad the necessary SAP notifications and ensure that work execution is catered for during plant prioritization meetings;
\n\tFacilitate and ensure that all project contractors have the required authority to work onsite;
\n\tAssist with any requirements for site establishment;
\n\tMonitor and report on project progress to Project Engineers;
\n\tLiaise with contractors, engineers and the project superintendent on all project matters;
\n\tCheck that standards, building\/construction regulations, health and safety and legal requirements are met and adhered to;
\n\tEnsure advance scheduling of contractors\/vendors;
\n\tEnsure removal of all project equipment and spares upon completion of the project;
\n\tEnsure all Contractors and equipment entering site have been verified and audited to comply to applicable Hillside Contractor Management standards;
\n\tManage and ensure that Contractor safety files and all required project documentation is accurately completed and available for audit or verification;
\n\tEnsure that daily activities are safely executed and as per the project plan;
\n\tManage housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe work environment.<\/p>\n
ABOUT YOU:<\/p>\n
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:<\/p>\n
\tMust have a minimum of 5 years experience in construction;
\n\tBasic SAP knowledge;
\n\tPrevious supervision;
\n\tBasic project management.<\/p>\n
Qualifications for this role are:<\/p>\n
\tN4 Technical certificate;
\n\tTrade tested Artisan.<\/p>\n
