A well-established US-based company developing microbial bio-fertilizers and bio-stimulants that enhance soil and crop health, yield, and quality, and supported by expert agronomic guidance, is seeking an Area Manager responsible for managing regional sales and technical support, guiding distributors and farmers, overseeing field trials, and providing agronomic insights to optimize crop production.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements for the role:<\/p>\n
\tA tertiary qualification in Agriculture would be preferred
\n\tCropLife (AVCASA) and\/or BASOS certifications are required
\n\tMinimum 2-7 years\u2019 hands-on experience working with farmers, managing\/conducting trials and providing sales support
\n\tA strong network of farmers, dealers and distributors is advantageous
\n\tAbility to work independently and follow through on goals without close supervision
\n\tMust have experience in providing technical training
\n\tUpdated with new agricultural techniques, trends and practices
\n\tGood communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tManaging sales and providing technical support to agrochemical distributors\/agents who sell products to farmers.
\n\tManaging sales budgets for the region.
\n\tEncouraging agents to distribute products and farmers to buy them.
\n\tMaking recommendations to farmers to help achieve efficient crop production.
\n\tGiving presentations on farmers\u2019 days.
\n\tOverseeing field trials.
\n\tGathering, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results and providing progress reports on trials.<\/p>\n
