\tGrade 12.
\n\tDegree in Food Science and Technology.
\n\t5 years\u2019 relevant experience.
\n\tExcellent timekeeping skills.
\n\tBe able to work under pressure.\u00a0
\n\tWorking overtime when required.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tComplete role as a food safety team leader.
\n\tEnsure adherence to the required food safety standards.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all corrective actions of external audits are done within a given period.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure management review is done yearly.\u00a0
\n\tConducting internal audits as per the plan and ensuring all parties are participating in and completing audits within the required timeframe.
\n\tFollow-up on completion of reports, daily, weekly, monthly.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in and manage third party audits.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain the HACCP systems.
\n\tEnsure that all safety, quality and animal welfare procedures are up to date.\u00a0
\n\tConduct plant inspections.\u00a0
\n\tHandle queries from service providers.
\n\tEnsuring customer complaints are investigated and closed off.
\n\tEnsure control equipment is working and sent for calibration by the person responsible (thermometer, infra-red, refractometer, humidity meter)
\n\tMaintain and manage the food safety and quality program.
\n\tAssist with product trails, changes and customer requirements.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain quality controls, specifications, and documented procedures.\u00a0
\n\tUpdating of animal welfare procedures and records.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure birds are processed according to animal welfare standards<\/p>\n
