Grindrod Terminals is looking for a Finance Controller: Cashbook\/Creditors to be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day activities within the Creditors department are carried out in accordance with the established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include accurate processing of supplier invoices, timely payments of creditors, and daily cashbook reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
The successful applicant will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring all creditor invoices are captured and accrual batches are processed for month-end.
\n\tEnsuring that all captured invoices have been approved in line with the Group\u2019s LOA.
\n\tEnsuring that the creditors age analysis is kept up to date with all long outstanding amounts followed up on.
\n\tManage supplier queries and escalate issues when required.
\n\tSend monthly intercompany creditor balance confirmations to Group companies.
\n\tEnsuring new vendors are added in accordance with established on-boarding procedure.
\n\tReconciling of cashbooks daily and provide weekly cashbook reconciliations to the Creditors\u2019 Supervisor.
\n\tPerform creditors reconciliations to ensure completeness of expenses.
\n\tLoad payments into the bank\/business online platform.
\n\tAssist with month-end close and reporting related to creditors and cashbook.
\n\tAssist with audits and ad\u2011hoc finance tasks.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tFinance related certificate\/ diploma
\n\tMatric\/Grade 12
\n\tKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience working in Finance within credit department.
\n\tExperience in a Logistics and\/or Shipping environment will be an advantage.
\n\tKnowledge and experience of related computer applications.
\n\tAccPac\/SAGE and SAP experience advantageous.
\n\tMicrosoft Excel competent.<\/p>\n
