To engage and prepare students for assessments by tracking module pacers, identifying and supporting at risk students, managing general student administrative support, and developing assessments by engaging with the Central Academic Team. Assisting the Programme Coordinator in tracking and analysing of academic results to evaluate the performance of the module and to identify \u201cat risk modules\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\tDeliver lectures and engage students based on module-specific requirements in line with module pacers.<br \/>\n\tManage resources including academic materials and liaising with the Information Centre.<br \/>\n\tUpdate Learning Management System and provide feedback to students.<br \/>\n\tEngage and prepare students for assessments, identify at risk students, and develop assessments in accordance with Central Academic Team briefings.<br \/>\n\tMonitor student engagement as well as assessment submission with relevant escalation.<br \/>\n\tAttend and participate in academic meetings across all faculties.<br \/>\n\tSupport Part-time Lecturers with faculty requirements.<br \/>\n\tReflect on, review, and analyse student module result.<br \/>\n\tOffer academic support to the Programme Coordinator with results analysis and tracking of own modules to assess performance of modules and to identify at risk modules.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and design Teaching-Learning materials in support of module-specific outcomes.<br \/>\n\tAssist with student registration and orientation as required.<br \/>\n\tAssist with student registration and orientation as required.<br \/>\n\tResearch: Conduct scholarly disciplinary based or SOTL Research and deliver set research outputs according to institution \/ Brand\u2019s research targets and contribute to the Brand\u2019s Teaching-Learning practice;\u00a0or<br \/>\n\tAcademic Professional Development: complete a set number of academic professional development interventions per academic cycle (one year) that contribute to the improvement of the Brand\u2019s Teaching-Learning practice and personal professional academic status.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tLLB Degree, master&#8217;s degree or related field (NQF Level 8-9) Ability to teach Law or Law related modules will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\t1 to 3 years Lecturing or Formal Tutoring<br \/>\n\t1 to 3 years of industry-specific experience in area of specialisation will be advantageous<\/p>\n<p>Key competencies:<\/p>\n<p>\tKnowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge and understanding of the Teaching and Learning theory and interventions.<br \/>\n\tThe ability to provide student support services.<br \/>\n\tThe ability to work with and learn more about digitalized academic platforms.<br \/>\n\tThe ability to cope with a frequently changing environment and to adapt to evolving situations.<br \/>\n\tAbility to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations.<br \/>\n\tDeadline orientated and can work well under pressure.<br \/>\n\tAbility to manage time effectively.<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"IIE Rosebank College","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"For over 60 years Rosebank College, a brand of the Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) since 2005, has delivered quality tertiary education to students across South Africa.
