JOB SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our team’s Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and reconciling bank statements.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tProcessing of invoices for all outgoing shipments
\n\tProcessing credit notes
\n\tAllocating payments to customer accounts
\n\tResolving customer queries regarding invoices and statements
\n\tSending customer statements by the due date
\n\tProcessing all spares orders received from customers and printing corresponding pick slips for the warehouse staff
\n\tProcessing Purchase Orders and sending it to Suppliers for Inventory\/Buyout items as well as for Opex
\n\tReceiving and reviewing all Employee Credit Card Expense Reports
\n\tProcessing all Employee transactions on Sage
\n\tFollowing up on missing invoices\/slips from Employees
\n\tSubmitting deductions to the Finance Manager for payroll purposes
\n\tAdhering to revenue recognition rules
\n\tAssisting with Annual Stock Take
\n\tSupporting senior accountants and financial managers with day-to-day tasks<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
\n\t2 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level positions)
\n\tStrong understanding of accounting principles and practices
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
\n\tExcellent organizational and time management skills
\n\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tAbility to work effectively in a team environment
\n\tExcellent communication (English and Afrikaans)
\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills<\/p>\n
