\tMonitoring Express and domestic operation to ensure effective and efficient work flow in line with the standards procedures and policies<\/p>\n
Job Description
\nFleet management<\/p>\n
\tCreating a file for each company vehicle
\n\tEnsuring such files are kept up to date on a weekly basis
\n\tEnsuring files have all relevant and complete history on each vehicle
\n\tResponsibility to ensure that all vehicles licenses are renewed timeously.
\n\tEnsuring inspections that all licenses are in place on the vehicle throughout the year and valid.
\n\tEnsuring that costs are reduced due to proper fleet management
\n\tEnsuring that quotes are requested for all repairs\/maintenance\/ or vehicle parts, including tyres (reduce costs but ensure quality).
\n\tCommunicating with your branch manager\/operations manager and operations director on all suggestions, possible savings as well as changing of suppliers.
\n\tOnce costs have been reduced ensuring that these costs are kept at an acceptable level.
\n\tCost reductions\/management are measured not only on a monthly basis but a quarterly and yearly as well.
\n\tSpecial attention should be given to the big three costs; tyres, fuel consumption (fraud detection and prevention) and spares.
\n\tEnsure that risks are removed with fleet management (petrol card, key and tag control, including duplicates kept in the office)
\n\tFuel abuse (prevention and detection).
\n\tVehicle locks (doors and truck locks)
\n\tAll removable spares marked and checked regularly (batteries etc)
\n\tEnsuring warranties are upheld and follow-through.
\n\tDrawing up of a roster plan ensuring maintenance on vehicles done timeously, efficiently and with the minimum disruption to operations (consult with Snr. Sups and Ops Manager)
\n\tEnsuring operations keep up to date with yearly roster plan
\n\tCompile checklist for zone control for daily vehicle checks.
\n\tEnsure spot checks done by you on accuracy of these forms
\n\tSupport Senior Operations Supervisor with new vehicle acquisitions and budget<\/p>\n
Facilities Management<\/p>\n
\tGeneral upkeep of facility and outdoor company premises including wash bay area
\n\tEnsuring all repairs & maintenance are carried out timeously
\n\tManage repair and maintenance costs effectively
\n\tEnsure scheduled testing of building equipment and systems are conducted (i.e. generator\/security systems\/alarm systems\/access control)
\n\tInvestigate any facility damages (internal and external) and ensure proper and relevant action is taken where necessary
\n\tEnforce 5S principles
\n\tSource and manage suppliers for ad hoc maintenance (in collaboration with Office manager)<\/p>\n
Job Requirements – Experience and Education<\/p>\n
\tMatric\/ Grade 12 or similar qualification
\n\tMS Office applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
\n\tDegree or similar qualification and\/or experience
\n\tStrong communication skills
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in operations
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 management experience
\n\tValid Code 10 Driver\u2019s license and a valid Public Driver\u2019s Permit (PDP)v<\/p>\n
