Purpose of Role<\/p>\n
\tThe Protection Services Drone and Surveillance Supervisor will be responsible supervising, monitoring and operating the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room. Managing associated alarms and call monitoring, ensure the safety and security of people and property within public areas and other facilities via surveillance of the CCTV network.<\/p>\n
Role Context<\/p>\n
Operational Tasks<\/p>\n
\tSupervise the operations, monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room
\n\tFollow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV Control Room and its facilities
\n\tReport any incidents that occur immediately to the Police Incident Control Room via a dedicated link, and\/or report to other relevant agency and provide support\/commentary to the Police and\/or other relevant agency.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software
\n\tParticipate in personal training and development in order to maintain understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulation
\n\tAssist the Police in respect of preparation of evidence and other activities associated with attendance at Court as a witness.
\n\tReports on issues relating to surveillance risk management and coordination of surveillance operations
\n\tProvide recorded media to authorized personnel
\n\tProvide assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to interested parties
\n\tParticipate in team briefings, operator working groups and the Employee Development and Performance Management Schemes to work more closely with management and other agencies in the development and administration of the service
\n\tAt all times must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service.
\n\tComply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at all times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action being taken.

\tSupervise and support the team according to TM\u2019s leadership principles and values throughout the entire employee life cycle (performance management, reward etc) to ensure, inter alia, a high-performance culture.<\/p>\n
Resource Management:<\/p>\n
\tProvide input into required changes in resources (financial or non-financial) to enable the achievement of team and\/or own objectives.
\n\tMonitor the use of assets and resources within the team and own area of responsibility, to ensure assets and resources are consistently and appropriately utilised and managed.
\n\tProvide staff with day-to-day direction and tasks aligned with Departmental procedures, to enable the usage of less resources more efficiently.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Relations<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of speciality. Liaise across the relevant Departments by engaging with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders remain abreast of Departmental objectives, any potential derailers are appropriately managed and duplication of work is avoided.
\n\tCommunicate with internal and\/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tSecurity Management Certificate will be advantageous (NQF 5)
\n\tPSIRA Grade B
\n\tRemote Pilot Certificate
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License
\n\tControl room certificate or Surveillance Certificate<\/p>\n
Job specific experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of three years\u2019 experience in CCTV Surveillance role of which two years must be in a Mining Environment.<\/p>\n

\tMust be medically fit<\/p>\n
