\tMotus Daimler Trucks Rustenburg\u00a0currently holds vacancy for an\u00a0Apprentice: Level Year 1.
\n\tReporting to the Service Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to repair Trucks and Buses according to dealer\/distributor’s standards and specifications in the most productive way.<\/p>\n
Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tCarry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed vehicle servicing.
\n\tEnsure diagnostic equipment is used in vehicle examinations.
\n\tEnsure DCSA procedures and policies are carried out during repairs and printouts kept.
\n\tEnsure faults are accurately diagnosed to customers\u2019 satisfaction.
\n\tDiscuss matter with Service Advisors as required and provide lucid explanations.
\n\tCo-Operate in vehicle care and safety whilst dealing with vehicles.
\n\tEnsure that comebacks are limited to minimum.
\n\tAttend to breakdown calls as and when required.
\n\tEnsure vehicles are returned to customer after service in neat, clean condition.
\n\tAll parts to be signed for at parts department and used on relevant vehicle.
\n\tUnused parts to be returned to parts department.
\n\tEnsure diagnosis leads to most cost-effective and accurate remedy to fault or customer complaint.
\n\tGive advice or use techniques which ensure quality but safe time.
\n\tProvide a fault finding and systems diagnostic service on motor vehicles to aid and speed the work of mechanics.
\n\tComplete forms and documentation included in the company\u2019s service routine.
\n\tDraft and prepare any reports required.
\n\tMake suggestions and give advice regarding any special promotional campaign and take part in campaign.
\n\tEnsure that overalls and work area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
\n\tJob Cards to be complete in full handed to service advisor as soon as vehicle is repaired and repair clocking carried out correctly.
\n\tAttend training courses provided by Daimler and Cargo Motors.
\n\tAssist with other reasonable requested duties as and when required.<\/p>\n
Specific Role Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tTo provide a technical and diagnostic service within the service department.
\n\tTo utilize modern diagnostic equipment to maximum in effecting vehicle service and to interpret findings.
\n\tTo discuss service detail with customer as required.
\n\tTo accomplish servicing of electric equipment as required.<\/p>\n

\n\tN2 \u2013Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Maths, Motor Trade Theory
