{"id":27050,"date":"2025-12-25T02:08:41","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T02:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/site-she-facilitator\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T00:24:29","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T00:24:29","slug":"site-she-facilitator","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=27050","title":{"rendered":"Site SHE Facilitator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n<p>\tUnilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do \u2013 creating a better business and a better world.\u00a0 If you are passionate about facilitating the implementation of the SHE systems to reduce Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risks, then this role is just for you!<\/p>\n<p>WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE<\/p>\n<p>\tTo support the site SHE Coordinator in implementing systems to reduce occupational health and safety risk by the creation and maintenance of an effective SHE management system.<br \/>\n\tTo identify and adequately control all significant occupational health and safety and environmental risks, ensure compliance with Unilever policy and standards and all applicable regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement.<br \/>\n\tInfluence line management and staff to comply with SHE regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Administration<\/p>\n<p>\tCompiles and revises standards and procedures relating to SHE to ensure compliance with Unilever SHE standards.<br \/>\n\tMaintenance of the document management system including archives.<br \/>\n\tMaintains a database of the standard operation procedures and copies of all legislation relating to the SHE matters.<br \/>\n\tDevelops and maintains a database of remedial actions from accident reports, internal &amp; external audits and safety inspections.<br \/>\n\tAssists with the preparation and monitoring of KPI\u2019s related to annual\/monthly\/quarterly SHE performance review reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Training<\/p>\n<p>\tAnalyses and source course content for safety and health related courses.<br \/>\n\tCompiles and presents relevant SHE training and awareness programs using various tools\/media e.g. safety induction.<\/p>\n<p>SHE Facilitation<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that all factory documentation remains current.<br \/>\n\tCollate and circulate safety literature, ensuring that the SHE communication boards are kept up to date.<br \/>\n\tAdvises line management on safety matters.<br \/>\n\tParticipates in safety inspections, HAZOP studies and Management of Change discussions.<br \/>\n\tResponsible for the compilation of site emergency plans and the training of personnel to exercise these plans.<br \/>\n\tAssists in the identification of and implementation of preventative measures against SHE (including occupational health) hazards.<br \/>\n\tOrganizes environmental surveys in accordance with legal requirements and makes recommendations based on findings.<br \/>\n\tIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in the SHE areas.<br \/>\n\tManages Contractor SHE compliance and follows up on non-conformances.<br \/>\n\tInterprets SHE legal requirements and ensures compliance. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tFormulates and prepares legal appointments in terms of the country specific OHS Act and Regulations.<\/p>\n<p>General<\/p>\n<p>\tPromote factory housekeeping and SHE awareness.<br \/>\n\tAnalyses incident and housekeeping reports and presents to site management.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAdvises and assists the medical department with workmen\u2019s compensation enquiries and claims.<br \/>\n\tConducts internal\/departmental SHE audits, reports and action plans on a monthly\/quarterly basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED<\/p>\n<p>Experiences &amp; Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tDiploma in Risk Management or post-matriculation qualification of S3\/N4 and at least 1 year\u2019s relevant experience.<br \/>\n\tAdvanced degree in Environmental Sustainability (preferred).<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of OHS Act and Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge and experience in First Aid, Fire Fighting Procedures, Equipment and Loss Control Certificate.<br \/>\n\tMS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), SAP, e-mail and spreadsheets.<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tFacilitation skills<br \/>\n\tAdministration skills<br \/>\n\tAttention to detail<br \/>\n\tCommunication skills<br \/>\n\tStakeholder management skills<br \/>\n\tCollaboration skills<br \/>\n\tReporting<br \/>\n\tPresentation skills<br \/>\n\tCoordination<br \/>\n\tData analysis<\/p>\n<p>Leadership<\/p>\n<p>Critical Behaviours and SOL (Standards of Leadership)<\/p>\n<p>\tCare deeply: caring deeply about how consumers experience our brands every day, everywhere; about our people\u2019s growth and development, and our impact on the planet.
