\n\tWe\u2019re on the lookout for an experienced\u00a0Process Controller Newsprint\u00a0to\u00a0safely and efficiently operate the equipment under his\/her control, to ensure optimum production output and quality at the best cost with minimum downtime, rejections and effluent.<\/p>\n
As an\u00a0Process Controller Newsprint,\u00a0you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tPerforming pre-start inspections as per making sheet and operating standards.
\n\tStarting up and shutting down the Wet End following best practices.
\n\tMonitoring and controlling visual and physical paper properties (excluding caliper).
\n\tTaking corrective action to resolve paper quality issues during production.
\n\tReporting equipment defects and abnormal conditions to the Shift Superintendent.
\n\tOptimizing furnish mixes in line with production requirements.
\n\tCompleting shift exception reports and addressing non-conformances.
\n\tChecking consistencies against lab results and correcting any deviations.
\n\tInspecting felt and wire cleaning sequences, effluent flows, and water make-up.
\n\tExecuting shutdown tasks and performing lockouts per Mill procedures.
\n\tSafely operating the overhead crane and recording downtime in the OEE system.
\n\tSupporting SHEQ compliance, conducting BBS observations, and maintaining housekeeping.<\/p>\n
What are we looking for:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Maths and Science) or N5 relevant qualification.
\n\tMinimum of 3 Years Experience in Paper Machine.
\n\tOutside Operator\u00a0 licence.<\/p>\n
