Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tPlan and Coordinate Reliability of Essential Services (compressed air, water, waste, fuel, fire protection equipment and pump system, MDV\u2019s, HVAC) that support site activities.
\n\tThis role ensures critical services functions effectively and reliably.
\n\tFacilitate facility management ensuring compliance with OSH Act and structural integrity<\/p>\n
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and resolve any essential service challenges, facilitating quick solutions to maintain productivity.
\n\tPlan and coordinate essential services and structural reliability which includes the following activities:
\n\tWater systems and ancillary equipment \u00a0\u2013 potable and rand water distribution and measurement. Compliance to water license requirements.
\n\tWaste Compliance \u2013 All waste streams including sewerage
\n\tConcrete, Civil and Excavation including roadways and walkways upkeep
\n\tCompressed Air and ancillary equipment – compliance
\n\tFuel distribution to generators including storage facilities compliance
\n\tMDV\u2019s
\n\tFire protection equipment and pump system (Fire Hydrants, Extinguishers, Pipelines)
\n\tRestrooms and Water heating systems
\n\tFresh air and cooling systems
\n\tRecord actual qty\u2019s of essential services for sustainability.
\n\tStructural and infrastructure
\n\tComputerized Maintenance Management System – Adherence to WO\u2019s .
\n\tAsset Care and Autonomous Maintenance \u2013 Equipment Reliability and Availability
\n\tIncrease end-to-end operational efficiency and advance customer experience through continuous improvement
\n\tLead HSE efforts according ISO45001 standards focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology.
\n\tEnsure compliance with ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.
\n\tParticipate in compiling Risk assessments and Job safety analysis and ensure compliance.
\n\tActively record safety observation and near misses
\n\tParticipate in 5WHY problem solving identifying corrective and preventative actions.
\n\tAdhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies and procedures
\n\tAdhere to requirements of legal appointments
\n\tActively promote the Bayer safety culture and best practices<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required:<\/p>\n
\tMechanical certification (Red seal \u2013 Boiler Maker or Mechanical Fitter)
\n\tMinimum of 3 years professional experience in mechanical maintenance, repairs, faultfinding and maintenance planning
\n\tFluent in English
\n\tMS Office software (Excel, E-mail, Word, Project etc.)
\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
\n\tResults focused with ability to work on own initiative
\n\tStrong teamwork capability (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others)
\n\tMaking informed decisions on a timely manner<\/p>\n
