\tReporting to the\u00a0Service Manager,\u00a0the primary purpose of this position is to repair\/service vehicles according to dealer\/distributor’s standards and specifications in the most productive way.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tRepair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer\/distributor standards and within the flat rate
\n\tEstablish parts required for service\/repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered
\n\tReport to Service Foreman promptly on any additional work required
\n\tObtain authorization prior to carrying out any additional work
\n\tAdvise Management prior to fitting any major parts outside the norm for routine servicing\/repair
\n\tObtain technical information from Service Foreman on problem jobs
\n\tAdhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by manufacturer, or as instructed by Management
\n\tAdhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures
\n\tNote the description of all work performed on the back of Repair Order if required
\n\tPlace all used parts in plastic bag, except oil & fuel filters, and place on passenger floor
\n\tAll warranty replaced parts to be tagged according to laid down rules, and handed to Parts Dept.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all oils and parts used are booked out on Repair Order
\n\tEnsure vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied
\n\tEnsure work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy
\n\tEnsure time started and completed are entered on Repair Order (Clocking)
\n\tReport any faulty and \/ or broken equipment is reported to management
\n\tEnsure all special tools and equipment are used with utmost care
\n\tTo possess a complete set of tools, as per distributor requirements, and maintain in good working order\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tAlways ensure a neat appearance – overalls to be changed after repairs\u00a0
\n\tMaintain cordial relationship with workshop staff\u00a0
\n\tTraining as per HQS Requirements
\n\tStandby and after hours servicing as per Service Foreman arrangements\u00a0
\n\tAccept responsibility for apprentices\/helpers and impart through training \/explanation\/practice, the necessary skills required to perform the job correctly, and thereafter to inspect \/monitor the work and rectify any problems\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tThree-year experience on Repair and servicing of vehicles
\n\tClear Criminal Record
\n\tA Valid Driver\u2019s License C1, EC will be an added advantage
\n\tTechnician Qualification<\/p>\n
