The Unit Manager will \u00a0be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary \u00a0team. In accordance, the Unit Manager will also \u00a0be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his \/ her unit.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that your unit is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of hospital and evidence based practice
\n\tEvaluate the patient\u2019s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution
\n\tEvaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
\n\tCommunicate effectively with patients regarding their care
\n\tPromote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
\n\tEnsure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
\n\tImplement group quality initiatives
\n\tLiaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business<\/p>\n
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tA relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree\/ or relevant management qualification)
\n\tRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
\n\tCompliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
\n\tCompulsory BLS certification
\n\tAdvantageous- ACLS\/PALS\/ITLS
\n\tAdvanced Computer Literacy
\n\t3-5 years unit management experience in Highcare\/ ICU essential
\n\tPrevious Unit Management experience is essential
\n\tExperience in a Rehabilitation is essential
\n\tPrivate hospital experience will be an advantage<\/p>\n
