The purpose of the role is to make all strategic operations and logistics decisions that fall within the ambit of responsibility and relate to assigned national distributors. Should be able to immediately solve all operational, logistical and distributor-related problems within the ambit of responsibility \u00a0as well as identify and implement innovations, particularly those that will increase market share and the number and range of products being introduced into assigned distributors.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMarketing and sales degree or diploma.
\n\tValid Code EB drivers\u2019 license \u2013 with ability to travel.
\n\tMinimum of 4 years of account management, customer related and administrative experience.
\n\tMinimum of 2 years of experience using data and insights platforms.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Overall Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tTo develop and maintain RCL Foods products within distributors nationally.
\n\tProvide distribution leadership through formal partnering with key distribution platforms and serving as the primary distributor contact for the RCL Foods \u2013 Food Solutions
\n\tchannel.
\n\tTo represent the distributor’s best interests within the RCL Foods environment so that their needs (commercial, distribution, development, marketing, operational spend, etc.) are always satisfied.
\n\tTo develop and manage distributor relationships with national key accounts, in conjunction with the responsible National Accounts Manager. Facilitate the national accounts strategic plan.
\n\tWork closely with Marketing, key accounts, commercial to ensure the overall key accounts target achievement in conjunction with total distributor targets.<\/p>\n
Distributor Management:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop distributor strategy in accordance with the overall channel strategy.
\n\tConduct regular reviews of business performance and promotion strategies.
\n\tForecast demand and feed that into the S&OP process.
\n\tContinuously review and monitor distribution efficiencies nationally.<\/p>\n
Supply Chain and Distribution Management:<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with assigned distributors.
\n\t\u00a0Manage regional stock availability issues with Factory\/ Direct -Depot\/Vector\/ KLL depots in conjunction with operations.
\n\tDistributor Financial Management:<\/p>\n
Drive national distributor volume budget achievement.<\/p>\n
\tManage distributor advertising spend.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Team Coordination and Supervision:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all key Account Managers\/ Marketing upload all activities onto the Bidvest sales support platform – Achiever.
\n\tRegular interaction with the operational team highlighting new available information, activities or upgrades to the Achiever platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n
