\tBTT Richards Bay is currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Logistics Controller to join the Logistics Department<\/p>\n
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure the effective and efficient capturing, posting and control of all operational activities on sites which affect stock. This includes shipping activities, drumming activities, road activities, rail activities and transfers<\/p>\n

\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with Mathematics
\n\tRelevant Diploma or Degree in Supply chain management \/ Logistics
\n\t3 years\u2019 experience in a similar role
\n\tCustoms clearing experience is advantageous
\n\tExperience in liquid bulk storage\/sites and shipping operations advantageous<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
JOB SPECIFICATION:<\/p>\n
\tDispatch and print movement reports
\n\tCheck tank planning for sufficient ullage and update tank densities regularly
\n\tCapture dips, ATG readings and report significant losses\/gains
\n\tMaintain customer communications and submit regular customer stock reports
\n\tPrepare losses & gains report for weekly meetings
\n\tManage tank bar\/unbar per operations plan
\n\tInteract with internal stakeholders on orders
\n\tConfirm before ship dips prior to line filling and report any discrepancies to relevant departments for investigation
\n\tSend and review P201\u2019s to relevant departments timely
\n\tMatch site gauging\/shipping quantities to Bill of Lading
\n\tCollaborate on vessel loading calculations, report discrepancies
\n\tInvestigate ship vs. shore differences
\n\tEnsure all stock adjusting dips are posted
\n\tCreate, vet, and verify road truck orders against system reports
\n\tMonitor vehicle status, reporting delays to RBI Logistics Supervisor
\n\tManage drums, track statistics
\n\tSend weighbridge tickets and EDI documents to customers as needed
\n\tDispatch daily open orders to customers and VSR reports on request
\n\tManage slop drums and log daily drum\/IBC entries in SAP<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
\tAbility to Communicate effectively in English. (written and verbal)
\n\tDetailed knowledge of SAP, EDI System, vehicle monitoring system and fuel Facs
\n\tGood problem-solving skills as well as ability to multi-task
\n\tHigh levels of integrity and confidentiality
\n\tFamiliar with tank farm engineering and operational techniques, standards, procedures, processes and policies
\n\tExcellent knowledge of BTT plant operations, shunting, inventory management, safety and security procedures
\n\tUnderstanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements<\/p>\n
