PURPOSE OF THE JOB:<\/p>\n
\tPreparing and managing of divisional budgets, financial and operational reporting and monitoring of control environment as well as assistance to statuary reporting and tax issues.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Prepare and manage budgets \/ Forecasts<\/p>\n
\tGather historic financial information.
\n\tApply expected financial and economic indicators on historical and new information.
\n\t\u00a0Incorporate all changes to current business model and structure.
\n\tPrepare, analyse and interpret budget.
\n\tPresent budget to management.
\n\tMake necessary adjustments.
\n\t\u00a0Prepare final budget for management.
\n\tUpload and reconciliation on SAP and \u201cE&Y\u201d.
\n\tManage budget:
\n\tTest expenditure against policy\/budget.
\n\tAdvice and approve of expenditure.
\n\tReport variances.<\/p>\n
Control efficiencies and divisional costs<\/p>\n
\tTest and prepare transactions against policies\/budget, delegation of duties.
\n\tTest accuracy, classification, and existence of transactions.
\n\tEnsure proper reconciliation and review of balance sheet accounts.
\n\tEnsure and resolve completeness and sign off of group balance sheet reconciliation.
\n\tAuthorise payment of vendors.
\n\tManage balance sheet items\/ratios.
\n\tInvestigate\/explain\/intervene in budget variances.
\n\tReconciliation of reports to operating systems.
\n\tCash flow projections to treasury.
\n\tAdvice and coach business managers on business decisions and financial statement interpretation.
\n\tDiligent management of all sundry accounts.
\n\tReview of Hinterland and Hinterland Fuels control environment.<\/p>\n
CO reporting:<\/p>\n
\tContinuous maintenance of SAP reporting
\n\tMonthly reallocation (cycles) of certain costs\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tCompile monthly and quarterly reports.
\n\tImprove layout and continuous improvements thereon.
\n\tLiaison with auditors and handling of queries.
\n\tLiaison and resolving of queries from shareholders.
\n\tGenerate financial reports on SAP.
\n\tGenerate reports to Exco.
\n\tGenerate divisional report.
\n\tReview of financial and operational reporting of Hinterland and Hinterland Fuels.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Compliance to applicable acts and standards<\/p>\n
\tAssistance to tax packs and returns.
\n\tProvide input on taxation issues (SARS).
\n\tProvide input on accounting issues (IFRS).<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tRegistered CA (SA) or equivalent degree
\n\tThree years relevant accounting experiences
\n\tCompleted articles<\/p>\n
