Main Focus Areas<\/p>\n
\tThe Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and\/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tPractice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities Contribute to the holistic care of patients Attend handover of report at shift commencement Be willing to work day and night shift Ability to work under stressful conditions Ensure adequate record keeping and should meet legal requirements Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards and complying with infection prevention and control policy. Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors<\/p>\n
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
\n\tA qualification in Operating Room Science will be an advantage
\n\tAt least 2 years working experience in a theatre environment scrubbing for all major disciplines
\n\tFlexible in working hours\/Shifts
\n\tCapacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
\n\tEnsures and maintains a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the value of the customer.
\n\tTakes full responsibility for own work output .<\/p>\n
