\tWe are looking to secure an analytical, team player to join our Mr Price technology security team!<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tWork with architects, system engineers and other IT support teams to define, guide, advise on security standards across the IT landscape, monitoring network activity to identify vulnerable points
\n\tDesign and configure security hardware and software
\n\tUse the toolsets available to identify and detect intrusions on corporate network and endpoints; detect any unauthorized attempts to access the systems
\n\tSolutionise by providing options for the IT network for enhancement to the security roadmap
\n\tTrain other employees on security best practices, mentoring to junior team members
\n\tMonitor software and hardware for any possible cyber attacks
\n\tPerform security assessments and conduct internal scanning on the network
\n\tAnalyze existing systems and make recommendations for changes or improvements
\n\tPrepare reports, action plans and updating of the risk register\u00a0
\n\tOrganize and conduct tests and \u201cethical hacks\u201d of the existing company IT architecture
\n\tKeep technical knowledge current through continuation of education
\n\tProvide automation solutions as far as possible
\n\tServe as a security specialist and conduct training when required\u00a0
\n\tDraft policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines
\n\tPrepare reports, action plans and updating of the risk register\u00a0
\n\tBe an active change advisory member by reviewing production changes
\n\tResearch and Design, benchmark, baseline exercises, trend analysis
\n\tAlign with enterprise\u2019s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines, and to actively work towards upholding those goals.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\nEducation & Certifications<\/p>\n
Relevant IT degree and certifications in 1 or more of the following:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCompTIA Security+ CISSP
\n\tGIAC
\n\tMicrosoft Certified Systems Engineer
\n\tMicrosoft Certified Azure Administrator
\n\tAWS Engineer
\n\tGSuite Engineer
\n\tAssociate of ISC
\n\tCertified Cisco or Meraki Engineer\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t3 years\u2019 experience in a Security role\u00a0
\n\t5+ years in an Infrastructure Back-end support environment and Implementation and deployment of enterprise solutions
\n\tSolid technical experience in Networking (LAN and WAN management, FW\/Routers\/Switches\/Wifi\/DHCP\/DNS\/DMZ\/Edge\/Segmentation etc).\u00a0
\n\tEssential understanding of the response required in a Security Operations Centre.\u00a0
\n\tStrong knowledge of design, test solutions, authentication methods, Windows, Apple & Linux operating systems, protocols, Data leakage, Mobile device management, endpoint, application, cloud solutions, identity and access management, penetration testing, web security, strong networking or Microsoft back-end experience.\u00a0
\n\tScripting and knowledge of the NIST and SANS framework would be advantageous.\u00a0
\n\tExperience in Governance (POPI\/Data Protection\/PCI\/Policy and Procedure) is required. Knowledge of current security risks and protocols, creation of policy, procedure and standards documentation.
\n\tManagement of a Security information and event management environment\u00a0
\n\tDesign, test, implementation and support of vulnerability management solutions, authentication methods, email and collaboration tools
\n\tWindows, Apple & Linux operating systems, protocols, Mobile device management, Intrusion Detection and Prevention software, network, perimeter, endpoint, application, cloud solutions, identity and access management, penetration testing
\n\tScripting and knowledge of the NIST and SANS framework would be a great advantage
\n\tKnowledge of current security risks and protocols, creation of policy, procedure and standards documentation.
