What will I be doing?<\/p>\n
As Front Office Manager, you will oversee the Front Office Team which is the main connection between the Guest, the hotel, and the various hotel departments. A Front Office Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:<\/p>\n
\tOversee the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards
\n\tEvaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement
\n\tEnsure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Office department operates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotel brand’s loyalty scheme
\n\tMaximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
\n\tSet departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
\n\tMonitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
\n\tEnsure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
\n\tMaintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments
\n\tMonitor staffing levels to meet cover business demands
\n\tConduct monthly communication meetings and produce minutes
\n\tManage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
\n\tRecruit, manage, train and develop the Front Office team
\n\tComply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
\n\tAct in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
\n\tAssist with other departments, as necessary<\/p>\n

\tA degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
\n\tA minimum of 3 years of Front Office management experience in the hotel, leisure, and\/or retail sector
\n\tHigh level of IT proficiency
\n\tHigh level of commercial awareness and sales capabilities
\n\tExperience of managing people and developing people
\n\tPrevious experience of managing a department and Profit and Loss account
\n\tExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
\n\tAccountable and resilient
\n\tCommitment to delivering a high level of customer service
\n\tAbility to work under pressure
\n\tExcellent grooming standards
\n\tFlexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
\n\tAbility to work on your own and as part of a team<\/p>\n
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:<\/p>\n
\tFamiliar with Property Management Systems
\n\tA degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent<\/p>\n
