The Municipal Manager will be appointed on a fixed-term contract from date of appointment, not exceeding a period of one year after the election of the next Council of the municipality.
\n\tTotal remuneration package will be in terms of Government Gazette No. 50737 dated 30 May 2024 ( Minimum R 1 152 941.00 Midpoint R 1 325 220.00 and
\n\tMaximum R 1 497 499.00 an 4% remote allowance per annul)<\/p>\n
KEY REQUIREMENTS (As per Regulations)<\/p>\n
Applicants must have:<\/p>\n
\tA Bachelor\u2019s degree in Public Administration \/ Political Science \/ Social Sciences \/ Law, or an equivalent and relevant NQF Level 7 qualification.
\n\tAt least 5 years’ relevant experience at senior management level.
\n\tProven experience in institutional transformation, strategic leadership, financial management, service delivery innovation, and good governance.
\n\tA valid motor vehicle driver’s licence.
\n\tNo criminal record (verification will be conducted).
\n\tCompliance with minimum competency requirements for Municipal
\n\tManagers as prescribed in Regulation 4 read with Annexure A of the 2014 Regulations.
\n\tSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo competency assessments as part of the selection process<\/p>\n

The Municipal Manager will:<\/p>\n
\tBe the Head of Administration and Accounting Officer of the Municipality.
\n\tProvide strategic leadership, manage municipal operations and administration.
\n\tImplement the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and municipal policies.
\n\tEnsure sound financial management, compliance with the MFMA, MSA, and other legislation.
\n\tPromote public participation and accountable, ethical governance.
\n\tStrengthen cooperative governance, intergovernmental relations, and stakeholder engagement.
\n\tOversee performance management for the entire municipality.
\n\tEnsure effective service delivery and organisational stability.<\/p>\n
