\tWe\u2019re looking for a dedicated professional to join our team in the role of Claims Consultant. The individual plays a key role in the effective handling, mediation, and verification of registered claims, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the claims process.<\/p>\n
Verification of Registered Claims<\/p>\n
\tGenerate and maintain the Registered Claims Report.
\n\tPerform comprehensive verification of all registered claims, including:
\n\tAccurate department allocation
\n\tValidation of premium payments
\n\tVerification of peril codes
\n\tAssessment of transaction estimates
\n\tReview of supporting documentation
\n\tConfirmation of timely claim submission.<\/p>\n
Management of Problematic Claims<\/p>\n
\tReceive and evaluate queries from brokers.
\n\tIdentify and analyze the root cause of claim issues.
\n\tGather and document all relevant information.
\n\tRefer matters to appropriate internal stakeholders.
\n\tPrepare and maintain detailed progress reports.
\n\tEscalate complex or unresolved issues to the Claims Manager as needed.<\/p>\n
Claims Administration<\/p>\n
\tReceive and log registered claims submitted by brokers.
\n\tVerify the authenticity and completeness of each claim.
\n\tUpdate internal systems with accurate claim data.
\n\tOversee the end-to-end administration of claims, including:
\n\tAppointing assessors and evaluating their reports
\n\tRequesting and reviewing quotations
\n\tAuthorizing repairs, replacements, or cash settlements within mandate
\n\tManaging salvage processes
\n\tReferring specific claims to insurers as per mandate
\n\tSubmitting invoices or agreements of loss for payment authorization
\n\tCapturing all relevant claim information in the system
\n\tReferring recoveries and third-party claims to appropriate stakeholders
\n\tEnsuring timely follow-up on all claim-related activities
\n\tMaintaining organized records and documentation
\n\tResponding to inquiries and resolving queries.<\/p>\n
Communication and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate claim outcomes to brokers promptly.
\n\tCoordinate and manage procurement processes related to claims.
\n\tCompile and submit monthly management reports.
\n\tProvide technical advice and support to brokers.
\n\tEnsure adherence to all relevant Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
\n\tMonitor claim trends per insured party and escalate to underwriting when necessary.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMicrosoft office (Excel & Word)
\n\tAt least 5 years experience in a Short Term Insurance, Claims handling and Mediation<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tNational Senior Certificate
