Role Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign of electrical systems, from concept to construction, up to 132kV, with a focus on protection, metering and telecommunications.
\n\tConduct quality and performance analysis on new and existing electrical equipment and systems.
\n\tManage engineering projects (including feasibility studies), contracts, budgeting, stakeholder engagement and ensure timely and efficient completion.
\n\tPrepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure designs and installations meet standards and client requirements.
\n\tDraft tender specifications and evaluate bids.
\n\tEnsure all systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
\n\tCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
\n\tMentoring of graduates and candidate engineers.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering or similar.
\n\tRegistered as Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist with ECSA
\n\tMore than 10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles across industrial and utility sectors.
\n\tExtensive knowledge of HV, MV and LV electrical systems and infrastructure within the Transmission, Sub-transmission and Distribution fields, up to 132kV with a focus on protection, metering and telecommunications.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills:<\/p>\n
\tElectrical Designs of Control Plant within the Transmission, Sub-transmission and Distribution fields.
\n\tProtection, Metering and Telecommunications Design and Specification
\n\tSoftware: Microstation, DigSilent, ETAP<\/p>\n
Project & Contract Management:<\/p>\n
\tBudgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination
\n\tContract administration (FIDIC, JBCC, GCC)
\n\tTender preparation and evaluation<\/p>\n
Soft Skills:<\/p>\n
\tStrong communication and leadership
\n\tAnalytical and problem-solving mindset
\n\tCollaborative and adaptable in multidisciplinary environments<\/p>\n
