Job Description<\/p>\n
\tOur client in the construction\/ communication sector is seeking a highly efficient senior\u00a0Bookkeeper for half day.\u00a0The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and supporting financial control across multiple projects and operational cost centers.
\n\tThis role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment, and effective communication with stakeholders across operational, technical, and executive levels.\u00a0Reporting directly to the Financial Director (FD).<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tSenior Certificate (NQF 4).
\n\tCertificate in bookkeeping or accounting is essential.
\n\tA relevant financial qualification will be advantageous.
\n\tProven experience working with Pastel and\/or Xero\u00a0accounting systems.
\n\tExperience working with\u00a0multiple currencies\u00a0and foreign exchange (Forex)\u00a0transactions.
\n\tBookkeeping experience up to trial balance.
\n\tExperience with both local and foreign cash books.
\n\tStrong computer literacy, including MS Office and advanced Excel\u00a0skills.<\/p>\n

\n\tAbility to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects and deadlines.
\n\tComfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
\n\tAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from site-based teams to executive management.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Indicators<\/p>\n
\tPreparation of accurate monthly management reports.
\n\tPreparing and issuing customer invoices timeously, including follow-up on outstanding payments.
\n\tFull responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
\n\tAssisting with and managing liaison for annual audits.
\n\tPerforming balance sheet reconciliations.
\n\tTreasury management, including daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow planning.
\n\tMaintaining accurate financial transactions from operational systems through to finance systems.
\n\tManaging and correcting discrepancies efficiently, including post-deadline adjustments where required.
\n\tAssisting with forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of financial schedules.
\n\tEnsuring accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail at all times.<\/p>\n
