Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tInterstat is looking for an experienced Senior Debtors Controller to take ownership of the full debtors function. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing credit risk, driving collections, and leading a team of debtors\u2019 clerks to ensure strong cash flow and compliance with credit policies.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage and control the full debtors\u2019 book, including overdue and high-risk accounts
\n\tEnsure timely collection of outstanding balances and reduce debtor days
\n\tReview and approve credit applications and credit limit increases
\n\tPerform ongoing credit risk assessments in line with company policy
\n\tLiaise with CGIC, Experian, attorneys, branches, and internal stakeholders
\n\tAuthorise the release and holding of customer accounts
\n\tLead, mentor, and manage the performance of debtors\u2019 clerks
\n\tPrepare accurate debtor reconciliations and age analysis reports
\n\tSupport management with reporting and insights on debtor performance<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting
\n\tMinimum of 5 year\u2019s experience in a senior debtors or credit control role
\n\tDemonstrated experience managing a team
\n\tStrong knowledge of CGIC, Experian, and credit risk management
\n\tExperience with Sage X3 will be advantageous<\/p>\n
