Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tAn appropriate postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8), as recognized by SAQA. 10 years\u2019 experience at a senior management level.<\/p>\n

Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tAs an Accounting Officer for the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, the incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions:
\n\tEnsuring the efficient and effective management of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs matters
\n\tProviding strategic leadership to the delivery of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs programmes in the province
\n\tFacilitate all tasks related to the development, stability and viability of local government as well as the housing sector in the Province
\n\tPromote effective and mutually beneficial intergovernmental relations in the Province
\n\tPromote integrated development planning by local government
\n\tCoordinate disaster management support and disaster-related relief
\n\tManaging the provision of internal audit services
\n\tEnsuring compliance with the provisions of the Public Service Act and Regulations, collective agreements and other statutory obligations by the staff of the Department Managing the financial, human and physical resources of the Department efficiently and in accordance with government policies<\/p>\n
