\tOur leading\u00a0FMCG\u00a0manufacturing client is looking for an experienced\u00a0Raw Materials Store Manager\u00a0to oversee all raw material storage operations within the KZN region.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
Raw Materials & Warehouse Management<\/p>\n
\tFull management of raw material stores (on-site and off-site), including secondary packaging and divider-cleaning operations.
\n\tMaintain batch control and FIFO processes for HDPE, PP, and all materials, including cataloging regrind and issuing oldest batches first.
\n\tOversee GRV processes and ensure accurate documentation.
\n\tIdentify control risks and implement corrective measures across stock counts, stock movements, and warehouse processes.
\n\tManage the raw material shuttle truck and associated logistics.<\/p>\n
Stock Control & Quality Checks<\/p>\n
\tConduct weekly, monthly, annual stock takes, as well as ad-hoc spot checks.
\n\tAccountable for all raw material and packaging stock variances.<\/p>\n
Perform incoming inspections on raw materials and packaging to ensure specifications are met:<\/p>\n
\tHDPE\/PP\u00a0– bag weights
\n\tSecondary packaging\u00a0– dimensions and artwork
\n\tPallets\u00a0– dimensions
\n\tBags\u00a0– dimensions and microns
\n\tDecoration\u00a0– colour and artwork accuracy
\n\tAdminister all raw material transactions via SAP.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate distribution of raw materials to production.
\n\tMaintain adequate buffer levels of secondary packaging and communicate weekly with procurement on stock balances.<\/p>\n
Equipment, Waste & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tOversee maintenance and care of off-site equipment (divider cleaner, floor cleaner, operating equipment).
\n\tEnsure high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Manage all waste processes, including:<\/p>\n
\tCollection from plants
\n\tSorting in collaboration with waste partners
\n\tSupplier collections
\n\tSelling to approved third parties
\n\tSAP scrapping and waste reconciliations
\n\tEnsure correct documentation for invoicing, receipts, and all relevant ISO-related requirements (ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000).<\/p>\n
Budgeting, Projects & Leadership<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in departmental budgeting and forecasting (wages, consumables, maintenance, projects).
\n\tDrive departmental projects to completion and ensure efficiency improvements.
\n\tManage departmental budget.
\n\tLead, train, and develop staff; monitor both team and individual performance.
\n\tEnsure compliance with HR and IR policies and adherence to training plans.
\n\tMaintain a safe working environment with exceptional housekeeping standards.<\/p>\n
Key Competencies & Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBCom degree in\u00a0Supply Chain\u00a0or\u00a0Logistics.
\n\tProven track record in warehouse management within FMCG supply chain.
\n\tStrong SAP knowledge and ability to troubleshoot system issues.
\n\tSolid understanding of the plastics\/packaging industry.
\n\tProficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
\n\tSelf-disciplined, driven, and performance-oriented.
\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships quickly.<\/p>\n
