\n\tWe\u2019re on the lookout for a\u00a0Lignin Attendant\u00a0to ensure the smooth operation of Modified Lignin equipment and chemicals to ensure that good quality modified products are made with no waste.<\/p>\n
As a Lignin Attendant, you will be responsible to:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAssists the Spray Dryer Operator in the making of Modified lignin Products both Liquid and Powder.
\n\tRuns Batch Reactions of Lignin paying close attention to quality of product produced
\n\tEnsures safe correct dosing of chemicals.
\n\tEnsure valves are correctly lined up for required products and communicates with the Spray Dryer operator to ensure levels are correct and no contamination occurs.
\n\tMonitors reaction exotherm and ensures the correct peak ratios are reached
\n\tRuns 25kg Bagging plant during Modified lignin runs with the assistance of the Assistant SD operator and the SD operator
\n\tVisually checks, Chemical Storage Areas, Pumps, Tanks, conveyors, chutes, and other plant machinery for defects which may require attention and reports to the Production Foreman. (Autonomous Maintenance).
\n\tMaintains housekeeping and safety by keeping his plant clean, tidy, and adhering to safety practices and procedures.
\n\tAssists in the Sodium Sulphite plant.
\n\tSamples liquor after the reaction and pumps the correct tanks based on results.
\n\tCarries out any duties\/tasks as requested by supervision
\n\tReducing waste, Preventing spills
\n\tMeeting environmental targets that apply to his sphere of influence
\n\tComplying with hazardous chemical handling procedures
\n\tComplying with environmental legal requirements<\/p>\n
What are we looking for?<\/p>\n
Relevant Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tMatric and N4 Pulp & Paper Certificate (4 subjects) and\/or relevant NQF Level 5 qualification.
\n\tComputer Literate (MS Office Package).
\n\tMinimum 1-2 years\u2019 experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably, paper production.
\n\tAn S4 in Pulp & Paper or Chemical Engineering would be advantageous<\/p>\n
