ABOUT THE ROLE<\/p>\n
\tOur Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Healthcare requires a Rehab Medical Doctor who will be based at Nurture iLembe physical rehabilitation facility in the KwaZulu-Natal. This role is an exciting position comprising the opportunity to treat inpatient rehabilitation patients and build relationships with the referring specialists in the area. This successful applicant will form part of the facility leadership team.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM EDUCATION \/ EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tAn MBChB. and full HPCSA registration.
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 experience as a Medical Practitioner.
\n\tYour own transport.
\n\tProfessional indemnity cover.
\n\tPrevious experience in an interdisciplinary team setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
\n\tExposure to inpatient treatment, high care, ICU, and casualty<\/p>\n
COMPETENCY EXPECTATIONS:<\/p>\n
\tPatient and family-centered approach.
\n\tHave strong communication skills and an ability to deal with a diverse range of patients and fellow team members.
\n\tAn interest in working closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and administrators.
\n\tPrepared to assume responsibility for the patients allocated to you, deal with some level of uncertainty, but know when to consult and liaise with other team members, referring doctors, and with consultants.
\n\tHave a strong clinical knowledge and skill base, and a hunger to learn more and be coached.
\n\tBe literate in MS Windows and MS Office.
\n\tPerform pre-admission patient rehabilitation evaluations guided by the Nurture Care Model.
