Sourcing and Supplier Management<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting market research and supplier assessments.
\n\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring adherence to agreements.
\n\tContinuously monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery schedules.<\/p>\n
Procurement Process<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
\n\tManage end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, purchase order creation, and contract management.
\n\tCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget constraints.<\/p>\n
Contract Management<\/p>\n
\tDraft, review, and finalize procurement contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
\n\tMonitor contract terms and conditions, tracking deliverables, and resolving any contractual disputes.<\/p>\n
Cost Management<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and manage procurement budgets, analyse spending patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
\n\tMitigate and reduce Maverick Spend.<\/p>\n
Inventory Management<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure efficient stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
\n\tMonitor inventory turnover and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies.
\n\tCollaborate with relevant departments to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.<\/p>\n
Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tIdentify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
\n\tStay updated on industry regulations and trends affecting procurement and supply chain activities.
\n\tMonitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and adherence to agreements.
\n\tStay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards that might impact procurement operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ethics and Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure procurement activities adhere to ethical and compliance standards, company policy and procedures including the MPRDA, Mining Charter 2018 and BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) and all Law requirements in South Africa.
\n\tEnsure that actions and decisions taken do not bring the company into disrepute<\/p>\n
Purchase Order Processing<\/p>\n
\tCollect and analyse procurement data to identify areas for process improvement and cost savings.
\n\tGenerate regular reports on procurement metrics and key performance indicators.
\n\tProficient in MS suite, Excel, Words etc.<\/p>\n
Purchase Order Processing<\/p>\n
\tGenerate and process purchase orders for required goods and services.
\n\tExpediate, Monitor and track order status to ensure timely execution of on-time delivery in full (OTIF).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tMaintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
\n\tGenerate regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, savings, and supplier performance.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
\n\tCharted Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)<\/p>\n
Job Specific Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 3-5 years\u2019 experience, preferably in the Mining or Heavy Industry environment<\/p>\n
