\tThe Recruitment Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely recruitment for senior, technical, and specialist roles across Distribution Centre’s in South Africa and Botswana.
\n\tThe role supports critical operational functions including Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Transport, Production, and Quality Control, and partners closely with operational leaders to ensure appointments are aligned to business needs, performance expectations, and long-term capability requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDeliver end-to-end recruitment for senior, specialist, and technical roles across Distribution Centres, including Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Transport, Production, and Quality Control.
\n\tBuild and maintain proactive talent pipelines for scarce and business-critical skill sets across South Africa and Botswana.
\n\tPartner closely with Distribution Centre Managers, Supply Chain Leaders, Production Heads, Quality Managers, and HR stakeholders to ensure clear alignment on role requirements, success criteria, and hiring priorities.
\n\tDevelop and execute targeted sourcing strategies, including direct search, headhunting, referrals, and market mapping.
\n\tScreen, shortlist, and conduct structured, competency-based interviews aligned to technical, operational, and leadership requirements.
\n\tBe accountable for the quality and accuracy of appointments through critical CV analysis, thorough role-fit assessment, and rigorous selection practices.
\n\tManage assessment processes, including technical assessments, psychometrics, MIE checks, and reference checks, ensuring consistency and compliance.
\n\tTrack and manage all open and filled requisitions across Distribution Centre departments.
\n\tMaintain accurate recruitment data within the ATS and ensure audit-ready recruitment records.
\n\tProduce accurate, Excel-based recruitment reports, providing insights on vacancies, pipeline health, time-to-fill, and hiring quality.
\n\tUse recruitment metrics and analytics to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
\n\tCompile complete recruitment packs, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements are met.
\n\tWork collaboratively with HR, Operations, and Training teams to support onboarding, workforce planning, and capability development initiatives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of\u00a05 years\u2019 recruitment experience, preferably within logistics, supply chain, distribution centre, production, or quality control environments.
\n\tProven experience recruiting\u00a0senior, technical, and specialist operational roles.
\n\tDemonstrated accountability for\u00a0hiring quality and accuracy, not only recruitment volume.
\n\tStrong stakeholder management capability, with experience partnering at management and senior leadership level.
\n\tHighly self-motivated, able to manage multiple requisitions across departments and regions.
\n\tExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
\n\tStrong verbal and written communication skills.
\n\tCollaborative, team-oriented working style.
\n\tProficient in\u00a0MS Office, particularly\u00a0Excel, with experience using ATS platforms and recruitment reporting tools.<\/p>\n
